GCPD Suspension and Dismissal of Professional Staff Members

Policy

The Board authorizes the Superintendent to suspend a teacher from the performance of duties without prior notice if the Superintendent is of the opinion that the welfare of students is threatened by the presence of the teacher.
The Board may suspend a teacher from the performance of duties when the Board has reasonable grounds to believe that the teacher has been guilty of gross misconduct, neglecting his duty or refusing or neglecting to obey a lawful order of the Board.
