Intermediate Skills
The intermediate skills
program is a special needs classroom designed for students with mild, moderate
or severe learning disabilities. The program operates with twelve students, one
teacher and one full-time teacher assistant.
Students in the Program work toward completion of an
individualized program plan which focuses on maintaining and developing reading,
writing, spelling, and math skills. The overall goal of the Intermediate Skills
Program is to aid students in achieving placement into a classroom, regular or
otherwise, whichever is most appropriate for their ability and learning needs.
