It is small mostly because people don't need it to be big. It is a common size for Amazon houses. It is always warm in the Amazon, because it is close to the equator. So people don't need to be inside much.  They are inside only if it rains, and to sleep. They are outside to hunt, catch fish, travel, visit, grow food, and do laundry. The houses are made out of the nearby trees. Can you see the laundry hanging up?
