This
is called a "Jungle Lodge". To get here you have to come 1,200 km up
the Amazon River from its mouth, (or fly) to a city called Manaus. Then go 2 hours by
bus, and 2 hours by small boat on the winding jungle river. It is on a tributary
of a tributary of the Amazon River. So, it is very much in the middle of the
Amazon Rain Forest.
I went here for 3 days to learn
about the jungle, and the people who live there. I was there with 4 other people
from Europe. Josef was our guide. Can you find me? Can you find
Josef? He lives 5 minutes away by canoe up the river. There is no
electricity nor running water here. I felt very lucky to have this experience!
