Brazil covers about half the continent of South America and is the fifth largest country in the world.  Ask anyone what they know of Brazil and many people will mention the Amazon Rainforest.  Others may mention coffee, the Carnival, Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana beach.  Most will mention soccer, for Brazil has won the World Cup three times, or Grand Prix racing.  Although, Brazil is well known for all these things, there is much, much more to this huge country.

This web page is designed for students in grades 2- 8.  Teachers may also use this site to incorporate technology into their classrooms.  Activities are offered that cover Alberta Social Studies, Language Arts and Technology objectives. This site offers a telefieldtrip whereby you can have a tour of Brazil.  You may learn more about the Brazilian culture under the "Human Geography" section.  If you are interested in Brazil's geography, you can learn quite a bit by entering the " Physical Geography " section.  Links for research and student work may also be found on this site.  In the "Research" section you are taught how to do research and are provided with an opportunity to take part in a social action project.  We have included various links for research and addresses so you may contact us.  Hope you enjoy your telefieldtrip and learning!
